We believe

Good hospitality is seen. Great hospitality is felt.

Because of this belief we aspire to

Make people feel at home in our house.

We often refer to ourselves as publicans, defined as a person who owns or manages a pub. From a social perspective, when you consider pubs as community centers, publicans are a neighbourhoods steward — the emcee and host to social connections.

Our culture is a collective affinity for meaningful, thought and conversation provoking topics influenced by design, music, art, sports, travel. A constant appetite for culture and deeper learning is what attracts talent to our group. It’s what keeps them engaged. It’s what inspires us to grow.

Founded in 1999 by Jeff Donnelly in Vancouver

With the core philosophy "Be true to yourself and your neighborhood, the people will follow."

We serve people for a living. It’s our passion.

Our social responsibility arm, the Donnelly Fund, takes this ideal to the communities in which we do business as a social enterprise which empowers our people to foster a culture of giving.

This value is the belief that philanthropy, like hospitality, is about enriching people’s lives through service and compassion.

Over twenty years, Donnelly Fund has worked in the neighbourhoods and communities where we do business. Most notably, in the Downtown Eastside of our hometown of Vancouver who’s complex social issues demand compassion and empathy.

Drink Philosophy

Confident yet humble and complemented by a desire to make unapologetically strong adult cocktails. Our menus are anchored in variety, locality and an appreciation for global cocktail, wine and beer culture.

Food Philosophy

Food unites us. Ours is nourishing, healthy ('ish), and shatters the status quo of traditional pub fare without prentention or a premium price. It is worldly and creative yet approachable and comforting. Something worth connecting with others over.

Space Philosophy

Design, art, music and style are fluid. Our spaces bring them together with the aim of creatively challenging the status quo and to oblige creature comforts. We are constantly rethinking virtues of purpose through the lens of our spaces. They are alive in this regard, and always growing.
