It is the best week of the year to go grab a pint – Vancouver Craft Beer Week – or as those in the know call it: VCBW. All over Vancouver for the next 8 days beer halls, pubs, bars and restaurants put on events, tastings and specials geared towards that wonderful beverage – BEER.

For the fourth year running, the Donnelly Group is putting on its annual Ale Trail. Each pub will feature its very own style of beer from one of our favorite breweries: New Belgium Brewing.

The Ale Trail is simple – Starting tomorrow, visit any Donnelly Public House and order their featured New Belgium beer. $6 will get you the 14oz New Belgium*, your beer passport & your first stamp. If you visit every venue in the book within VCBW and try all the beers you can bring your completed passport to The Lamplighter on the Monday following VCBW and turn it in for a chance to win a limited edition New Belgium Cruiser Bicycle as well as a collection of other prizes.

We’ve been working for months to ensure this year’s beers are a good mix of what New Belgium has to offer. Some are available in BC year-round, some are making their debut for the first time ever!

Each page in the passport has tasting notes on the beer as well as an opportunity for you to take your own notes on that beer as well as a flavor radar chart for a quick visual on that beer style.
