The Road to Dublin

(Or – 17 Great Reasons to stop by our pubs this March)

It is no secret that we at the Donnelly Group love our beer promotions. From a BC Beer feature priced daily to month long promotions, we are always looking for fun, new and exciting ways to get our guests to drink & explore great beer.

Even though we’re approaching 250 total taps across Vancouver we still have a tough time finding homes for all of our favourite draught beers – seasonal or core brewery styles. In this rich culture of quality Vancouver beer, there are more beer options than taps on any given day – and that is an understatement.

Enter our month-long promotions to celebrate rotating & feature taps:  Fe-Brew-Ary, 30 Days of IPA and our VCBW Beer Passport. These have been our solutions to listing either long-standing new lines or temporary one-offs over the years and great ways for guests to enjoy multiple new beers roll through our locations.

This March we are adding another multi-beer-multi-venue promotion to the mix in the form of a celebration of BC Brewed stouts and red ales: The Road To Dublin.

The Road to Dublin is an exploration of the amazing Stouts and Red Ales that are being brewed in BC breweries. Each day from March 1 through March 16 we’ll be tapping a different stout in one of the Donnelly Group Public House locations. Over the course of the two-plus weeks we’ll see 16 different stouts and red ales from 16 different breweries tapped at 8 venues on a rotation.

The Road to Dublin begins at The Bimini on March 1 as we Tap Whistler Foxtail Red Ale, a 4.5%, 40ibu session ale typically not available in draught outside of Whistler. From there we’ll enjoy tapping stouts from Fuggles & Warlock, Tofino Brewing, Fernie, Moon Under Water and many more. The end of the road is of course St. Patrick’s Day on March 17 where we will have any leftovers on feature as well as our typical St. Patrick’s day fare of Guinness, Jameson and some Irish inspired food creations from Chef Alvin Pillay.
