$5 maker’s Mark – $3 Old Milwaukee – $5 Caesers

The rules are simple: Save-On-Meats will supply each chef with 20lbs of chicken wings and Maker’s Mark will supply the bourbon. The rest of the recipe is up to the chefs themselves to create. They only need to pick up their wings and then show up on Sunday, May 20th and live grill their wings on the patio for the judges and the room.

Each participant will be judged on the following criteria: Overall Taste, Use of Ingredient & Presentation.

Judging will be divided between the people in the room and a panel of local celebrity judges.

We are partnering with Save-On-Meats in this event to help bring some further attention to some of the programs they have running on the downtown east side.

Celebrate summer kicking off on Sunday May 20 at The Bimini as Ernold Sane and P Deady crank it up all night for May Long.

Rogue Brewery, Clough Club and Lamplighter have joined forces to present the first annual VCBW Beer Cocktail Competition.

15 of Vancouver’s Top Bartenders will square off at Clough Club with only bar tools and creativity to create a cocktail using one of Rogue Brewery’s limited release beers.

Their Prize: a trip for two to visit the Rogue Brewery and Distillery in Newport Oregon. The only stipulation for the cocktail is that they must incorporate a minimum 2oz of beer in the mix.

Attendees will be served canapés based on Clough Club’s Central-American themed menu and will have front row seats to catch all the action.

Meanwhile, next door at Lamplighter, we will have multiple casks of craft beer from breweries all over the Pacific Northwest with representatives from each of the breweries on-site to answer questions.

Featured Breweries will include, Parallel 49, Central City, Granville Island, R&B brewing, Red Truck and more!

The entire competition action will be streamed live from next door so you won’t miss a minute of the action.

Four Pacific Northwest brewers have teamed up to host a night of Hop-tastic food and drink.

Each brewer will be bringing multiple styles of hoppy brews for guests to sample, taste and discuss at Smileys Public House.

The night’s featured brewers will be Ben Love of Gigantic Brewery, Gary Lohin of Vancouver’s Red Racer Brewing, Jaime Floyd of Ninkasi brewing, and Graham With of Vancouver’s newest craft brewery: Parallel 49. We’ll also have a featured home brewer that evening to showcase the hobbyist’s point of view.

Come down, grab a pint and meet the Brothers in Hops.
