The Academic Public House is a welcome addition to Vancouver’s West Side. The intimate room is both traditional and modern, with black wainscoted wood walls, dark mirrors, neo-futuristic light columns and custom contemporary light fixtures. The trademark Donnelly ‘leisure sports’ games area also holds a jukebox and a trophy case with board games, classic books and magazines for mellower guests. Come for nightclub-style events Thursday to Saturday, or watch UFC matches, European Football, NHL and NFL games. The Academic serves a large selection of craft and domestic beers, custom and classic seasonal cocktails and delicious food seven days a week.
